Everybody lies in one way or the other. Everybody has had experience of lying. Even the most honest person in the world has told a lie!
There
is a notion that a relationship is being built on a falsehood.
Why do people lie?
People lie to benefit or protect themselves in some way. For
example, individuals may lie by enhancing their qualifications to get a job or exaggerate their
characteristics to make new friends. Presidential candidates may lie about
their intentions to change the country in order to get votes. Children may lie
to avoid being punished or in hopes of receiving a reward.
